FRANZ LETH WINS “WINERY OF THE YEAR“ AWARD IN SWEDEN

The well-known Swedish gourmet magazine “Allt om mat” recently selected the Austrian Leth family winery from Fels at Wagram as the “Winery of the Year 2016”. An impressive award for the winery, but also for the Austria as a wine-country.

The award is given by the selection of a professional jury of Swedish wine journalists and is considered to be an extremely prestigious prize. The Leth Winery is represented in Sweden with the native Austrian grape variety Grüner Veltliner, along with Riesling. “The honour for this prize also applies to Austria as a wine-growing nation, which has developed internationally over the past few years. Austrian wine is becoming a must-have  in many countries, and more and more of our winemakers are getting involved in it”, states Franz Leth.
