WAGRAM WINEMAKER FRANZ LETH IS ONCE AGAIN WINNER IN THE SALON AUSTRIA WINE COMPETITION

With huge success in the SALON wine competition in the prestigious category ALT ÖSTERREICH or “Old Austrian grape varieties”, the Leth family winery from Fels am Wagram has once again demonstrated their class in viticulture and winemaking as being amongst Austria’s best winegrowers.

Franz Leth from Fels am Wagram won the renowned category with his Roter Veltliner Wagram 2015 against strong competiton. Franz Leth junior has been responsible for winemaking for several years now, and is very pleased with the result, “2015 was a very challenging vintage at Wagram, we were able to harvest only very small quantities of high-quality grapes. In addition, the Roter Veltliner is a variety that you have to handle with a lot of instinctive feeling – so such a success is all the more pleasing.”
