WEINGUT LETH: “BEST WHITE WINE” AT THE AWC 2012

The Grüner Veltliner from the Scheiben single-vineyard site was voted “Best White Wine 2012” at the Austrian Wine Challenge. This is regarded as being the “largest recognized wine competition in the world”, and the wines from Franz Leth have been awarded as variety winners for the third time in a row. More than 11,000 wines from 1,760 producers from almost 40 nations entered the tasting. Naturally, Franz Leth is a proud overall winner and category winner.

“The grapevines are between 40 and 50 years old. This allows us to make an extreme selection, which lead to tremendous complexity and longevity .” The Wagram site “Scheiben” shows once again its outstanding potential in producing great wines.
